Our Goats

We are a small homestead nestled in the central Piedmont area in North Carolina, working on establishing ourselves in the Myotonic breed.  We keep our herd on the smaller size  (we prefer around 15 adult goats).

Myotonic goats, also known as fainting goats, are a unique breed of domestic goats that have a genetic condition called myotonia. This condition causes their muscles to stiffen lock up when they are startled or excited, which can cause them to fall over or "faint" for a few seconds. Despite their unusual behavior, myotonic goats are friendly and easy to care for, making them popular pets and livestock for small farms.

If you are interested in coming to the farm, please contact us first so we can schedule a day and time that works best.  Both Jeff and Amy have full time day jobs.  Unfortunately, we are not able to offer farm tours, to keep you and our animals healthy we practice strict biosecurity.

If you would like to see any of the goats we have for sale please contact us so that we can schedule an appointment for you to come out the animals you wish to see. We don't allow anyone in our pasture or barn to prevent disease transmission.

FOTW Farm tests annually for CAE and Johne's disease. We are happy to share those results as requested.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out, we are happy to address any questions or concerns.
